Caesars Entertainment Incorporated increases Virginia casino budget

In the southern American state of Virginia and casino operator Caesars Entertainment Incorporated has reportedly upped the projected budget for its coming Caesars Virginia development by a further 30% to approximately $650 million.

According to a Wednesday report from the online news domain at VirginiaBusiness.com, this marks the second time that the Las Vegas-headquartered firm has increased its financial commitment regarding the coming 500-room Danville facility following its receipt in November of 2020 of permission to construct the gambling-friendly venture on the grounds of a former textile mill. The company purportedly also disclosed that construction is now expected to begin later this week and eventually lead to the premiere by the end of 2024 of an enterprise featuring a gaming floor with some 1,300 slots alongside 109 traditional and electronic gaming tables, a World Series of Poker-branded poker room and a sportsbook.

Attractive amenities:

Caesars Entertainment Incorporated is already responsible for over 50 gambling-friendly properties spread across the United States including the Flamingo Las Vegas, Caesars Atlantic City and Horseshoe Indianapolis venues. The Nasdaq-listed operator reportedly divulged that its finished Caesars Virginia engagement is to moreover come complete with a full-service spa, 40,000 sq ft of meeting and convention space, a pool, bars and an entertainments area capable of accommodating up to 2,500 people.

Celebrated collaboration:

Hot on the heels of publicizing its boosted Caesars Virginia budget and Caesars Entertainment Incorporated used an official press release to unveil the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians as a ‘joint venture partner’ for the coming project. This federally-recognized tribe already owns the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort and Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino and Hotel properties in the neighboring state of North Carolina and is to now help to realize a project that is expected to serve as an economic driver for the city of Danville and the wider region.

Preeminent praise:

Anthony Carano serves as the President and Chief Operating Officer for Caesars Entertainment Incorporated and he used the Wednesday release to assert that Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians has been ‘a valued partner’ of his firm ‘for more than 20 years’ and will now cooperate to bring ‘a world-class resort’ to Danville.

“Our diverse collection of destinations across the United States is synonymous with unparalleled service, impressive benefits through our Caesars Rewards loyalty program, superstar entertainment talent and culinary excellence. We will bring these same phenomenal offerings to the Danville region for people to enjoy.”

Momentous move:

For his part and Richard Sneed, Principal Chief of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, echoed these sentiments while describing the coming Caesars Virginia venture as ‘a vital opportunity for our nation and our people.’

A statement from Sneed read…

“We are excited to be expanding our long-standing and successful partnership with Caesars Entertainment Incorporated to develop a first-class resort that will be defined by luxury and service that guests have known and come to expect.”
