Earlier this month, word emerged that Kyle Chandler is in negotiations to play Hal Jordan on the show. The current report notes that Chandler’s deal has yet to close, but he’s expected to sign on. Jordan is a veteran Green Lantern who was previously played by Ryan Reynolds in the 2011 Green Lantern movie. The Green Lanterns were largely absent from the DCEU, aside from cameo appearances in Justice League.

The premise for Lanterns finds Jordan and Stewart on Earth as they investigate a gruesome series of murders in the American Midwest that may be more than they seem. Chris Mundy (Ozark) is the showrunner of the series, while Lost’s Damon Lindelof and comic-book scribe Tom King are among the show’s creative team. James Hawes is set to direct the first two episodes of Lanterns, which is expected to begin filming in 2025.

AMC Will Air Captain Nemo Series That Disney Plus Canceled

After Disney+ did a company-wide budget cut and canceled more than a handful of shows, one of them has found a new home. Variety has reported that The Captain Nemo origin story series Nautilus, named after his fantastical submarine, will sail with AMC Networks.

The 10-episode show was originally slated to air on Disney+, but it was announced back in August that the show was not going forward. Inspired by Jules Vernes’ “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea,” the show will focus on the early life of Captain Nemo, played by Shazad Latif (Star Trek: Discovery). The character is described as “an Indian Prince robbed of his birthright and family, a prisoner of the East India Mercantile Company, and a man bent on revenge against the forces that have taken everything from him.” It’s unclear if it…

Angry Birds Space Review

With more than 700 million downloads to its name, Angry Birds is as much a part of pop culture as the Big Mac, The Beatles, or Justin Bieber. But such popularity poses a problem: how to create a sequel that feels fresh, yet still appeals to avian aficionados around the world. For developer Rovio, the answer is gravity, or rather, the lack of it. Angry Birds Space takes the fundamental physics-based flinging of the original and turns it on its head–sometimes literally–by playing with the gravity simulation that powers it. You’re forced to think in new, creative ways to solve puzzles, using the pull of planets to slingshot your birds over greater distances and at previously impossible angles. It’s satisfying, yet completely familiar, and is heaps of pig-smashing fun.
